we actually haven’t played hand and foot in awhile. i might have to ease up on my ban of the game, but only with the caveat that holiday spirit, not competitive spirit, is abound.

I personally LOVE this post because I can picture myself smushing around that too small table too. And I relate to all the life lessons gleaned from family game night. Well…all but humility (since I always win!). Hehehe. wish I could beat y’all in some hand-n-foot this Christmas :)

scrabble, huh? my family is all “we like numbers, not words” so i was lucky to get them to play scattergories this time around.

i wonder if you’d take pity if, when sick with a cold, i challenged you to a game of scrabble?

LOL! Great rules.

In my family, it’s Scrabble all the way, and we are cutthroat players. We show no mercy! Sure, I’ll coddle you when you’re sick, be there for you in any emergency–that’s the kind of mom I am. But cut you a break on the Scrabble board? No way in, er, heck! It’s survival of the fittest. ‘Cuz that’s the kind of game-player I am. ;)

i still remember when sister J taught me how to shuffle cards and how excited i got when the cards made a noise as i did the bridge part. oh, the little things….

and yes, TWSS crossed my mind when i wrote that portion. tee hee.

awesome! these are all very useful. i like the suggestion to raise the roof when you do something grand — and i love your definition of grand :))

you know how to shuffle a deck of cards? good for you! i never learned…

and i never thought #9 was a particular skill until i was shuffling in front of a non-family member. i love having a hidden talent!

ahahah! this is GREAT!!!! I, too, come from a family of players…um…er…that probably didn’t come out the way it should have. oh well. *shrugs* and yes, to #9!!! People are always so impressed with me when I shuffle cards :)
