advice to graduates (and everyone else!)

one of the many good things about this time of year is the commencement speech.

here’s the latest and greatest from neil gaiman, genius.

it is long, but absolutely worth it for anyone who does anything even remotely creative.

and here’s an oldie but goodie.

i’m happy to say, i saw this one IN PERSON!

    1. it was unreal. it took a minute for her words to sink in because all i could think was OMG OMG OMG she wrote harry and hermione and ginny and ron and sirius and dumbledore and she changed the course of my writing life and she’s really pretty and her accent is fantastic and hey wait, she’s talking about rock bottom failure being the solid foundation of her future. that’s kind of brilliant and why should i expect anything less from the woman who wrote harry and hermione and ginny and ron and sirius and dumbledore and who changed the course of my writing life and is really pretty and has a really fantastic accent.
